Juliana v. United States

 Juliana v. United States is a landmark climate lawsuit against the federal government of the USA, arguing it is depriving youth of their rights to a stable climate system. In September 2019, the young plaintiffs, aged 12 to 23, traveled to Washington, D.C. to get support for their suit from members of Congress and climate strike leader Greta Thunberg.

These Kids Won a Court Case Forcing Colombia to Protect the Amazon. Apr. 6th. 2018.

  

Colombia’s supreme court granted protections, filed by 25 children and other young people, that affirm that deforestation in the Colombian Amazon violates their rights to health and life.  In the ruling, the supreme court ordered the president of Colombia and environmental authorities to create an action plan to protect this important natural area.
